Selective post-emergence, acting primarily through foliar uptake, with little or no soil activity.

Acute oral LD 50 for rats > 5000 mg/kg

Biochemistry:

Affective sensitive weeds through inhibition of the enzyme acetolactate synthase (ALS). Inhibition of ALS leads to rapid cessation of cell division and subsequent growth processes in plants.

Uses:

Post-emergence herbicide which controls broad-leaf weeds in cereal crops, including wheat and barley. In cereal field it’s used at application rates of 10-20 gr/ha when weeds have 4 leaves. It’s possible to mix this herbicide with other herbicide such as Clodinafop propargyl (grasses killer)
