Action:
Systemic Insecticide with Stomach Action
Mode of Action:
Hexaflumuron is a benzoylurea insect. It is a systemic insecticide active against larvae of Coleoptera, Isoptera and Lepidoptera. It has some contact activity, but ingestion is the most important route for activity. Larvae cease feeding soon after ingesting the compound and subsequently die. Death may not occur for up to six weeks following treatment. It is particularly active against young larvae. Hexaflumuron also has strong ovicidal activity in comparison with other BPUs, due to its ability to penetrate egg shells. This is most noticeable on newly laid eggs.

Uses:
Some countries use it to control subterranean termites but in Iran its traditional for pistachio psylla and citrus leaf miner, also its used against immature stage of caterpillar larvae, Coleoptera, Diptera and Homoptera in fruit trees, cotton and potatoes.
It’s registered at 500-700 cc/ 1000 L water for pistachios.
